While Tesla never disclosed how many bitcoins it owned, CEO Elon Musk revealed in July that the amount was close to 42K BTC. At the time of writing, the price of bitcoin is $ 63,053.60. It broke historic highs on Wednesday after the launch of the first exchange-traded bitcoin futures fund (ETF) in the United States. Musk has long been a supporter of crypto. He revealed in July that in addition to bitcoin, he personally owned “some ethereum and dogecoin.” The Tesla executive opined, “In general, I am a supporter of bitcoin,” noting that the BTC he owned was “worth a lot more than ethereum or doge.”

In September, Musk said governments should not try to control or regulate cryptocurrencies, stressing that regulators should “do nothing” about crypto.
