The Cardano Foundation’s first annual report, which reviews its accomplishments in 2022, was shared on Twitter by Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard.

Gregaard continued to add further insights to the report after expressing his excitement about the notable accomplishments attained in the previous year. Gregaard calls for greater cooperation within the cryptocurrency community and claims that the beauty of blockchain technology lies not just in the technology itself but also in the community that supports it, as well as in the game theory and incentives that underpin it.

Cardano Foundation’s first annual report

The Cardano Foundation releases its inaugural annual report, which features a number of accomplishments.

The Cardano Foundation relates the technical support it gave in the run-up to the Vasil hard fork throughout the previous year. Also, it helped to show off the adaptability of NFTs and laid the groundwork for the widespread adoption of blockchain in the Georgian wine supply chain.

For UNHCR, the Georgia National Wine Agency, Veritree, and the University of Zurich, the foundation also signed historic collaborations and partnerships with Switzerland in 2022.

Ogmios is a lightweight bridge interface tool that has been developed and maintained over the course of the past year with assistance from the Cardano Foundation. The Cardano Foundation and EMURGO launched the decentralised application backend (DAB) solution, which has various advantages for the Cardano developer community.

Kupo v2, which was created by the open-source team of the Cardano Foundation, was released in 2022. Kupo is a quick access and filtering tool for chain indexing that offers blockchain data.

The Cardano Foundation says that despite the recent failures in the sector, it was not directly impacted by these events during 2022 since it primarily retains its Cardano (ADA) and Bitcoin (BTC; valued at $166 million and $19 million, respectively, as of December 2022).

The development community for Cardano expanded in 2022 as well. The Developer Portal offers support to anybody developing on the Cardano ecosystem, encouraging more activity on-chain and boosting the Cardano infrastructure’s operational robustness. According to reports, the number of tools accessible in the sector for builders increased from 19 in January 2022 to 62 in December.
