
The findings of a recent study conducted by the cryptocurrency ranking service CoinGecko, which aimed to determine the most well-liked meme currencies by nation and area, are shared.
According to the total amount of page views for the whole year, the study examined the top 15 meme currencies by market capitalization. With almost two million visits of the top meme coin pages and 23.6% of interest in 2023 to date, the data demonstrate that the United States is driving the meme currency craze.
The most well-liked meme currency in the United States is Shiba Inu (SHIB), which has attracted 60.7% of the nation’s interest in meme coins so far this year. Following PEPE and BONK, VOLT and 11.8% of Americans were interested in meme coins.
India and the United Kingdom (U.K.), who together make up more than half of all meme coin lovers this year, are also enjoying a meme coin craze in 2023 together with the United States. This year, India is in second position, with 20.3% of the worldwide interest in meme currencies. Shiba Inu and Baby Doge Coin are the most widely used coins in India.
In addition to the Philippines and Malaysia in Southeast Asia, Nigeria and Morocco in Africa, Australia and New Zealand in Oceania, and Canada are all popular locations for meme coins.
In the Philippines, FLOKI, SHIB, and BONK are the most well-known meme coins; in Nigeria, FLOKI, AIDOGE, and ELON are the most well-known.
People by far most interested in Shiba Inu
According to CoinGecko’s survey of the total interest in meme coins, Shiba Inu, which accounted for 46.7% of interest among the top meme currencies in 2023, is by far the meme currency that people are most interested in.
Pepe (9.4%), Floki (8.6%), and Bonk (8.2%), which are more recent meme coins, were followed by Baby Doge Coin, which drew 12.3% of interest in meme currencies.
Pepe, on the other hand, attracted 26.9% of Canadians’ interest in meme coins.
