The advent of the Shibarium mainnet is still a mystery to the Shiba Inu community. Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonym of the principal creator of SHIB and the Layer 2 protocol Shibarium, has ceased responding to that query.
However, there is a response to it inside the community, on the official “Shibarium Tech” channel.
“Wen Shibarium?” Here’s when
Many SHIB army members have been bombarding the administrators of the Shibarium channel with inquiries over the past few days, wanting to know when the Layer 2 network’s long-promised mainnet will really be deployed.
The community appears to be split between those who are constantly inquiring when the mainnet will launch and those who are responding to the frequent inquiries that have been pouring in over the previous several days.
Now, “soon” or even “soonday,” followed by the ROFL emoji, is the most often used funny response.
A user cited a special interview Shytoshi Kusama made to International Business Times in April. There, he gave an estimated time frame of two to four months for the debut of Shibarium, but the Telegram user said it was not a promise. In addition to providing extremely rough launch dates for Shibarium, Kusama denied rumours that his team had turned down other projects.
The team’s chief developer declared that “everyone is in” and that the purpose of the application form via which projects contacted the team was only to converse and inquire about the specifics of what they intended to create on Shibarium.
Shytoshi’s warning
Shytoshi Kusama once more cautioned the SHIB community that Puppynet is only a beta test of Shibarium, as U.Today reported last week. In his Telegram post, he stated that all of the tokens on it have merely been launched and used for testing.
He stated that no actual tokens had yet been burnt and issued a warning to customers not to send any actual cryptocurrency to Puppynet.
Shiba Inu’s leader continued by saying that his development team and he share the enthusiasm of the whole SHIB community and that “there will be many updates” in the near future.
