Ripple Unveils Major Report: Here’s Where Company Spent Hundreds of Millions

In a significant move, the well-known cryptocurrency payment startup Ripple just released a thorough study titled “Fintech as a Force for Good.” The achievements of Ripple’s Ripple Impact programme are highlighted in this report, with an emphasis on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

The study draws attention to the topic of financial inclusion, where Ripple has given $25 million since 2018 to a number of NGOs working to advance equality and inclusivity in the global financial system. To accomplish this, 49 investments have been made in all.

The paper also examines the subject of blockchain technology research and innovation. Ripple has made a large $80 million investment to support blockchain and fintech innovation, research, and education. Ripple has supported various fintech courses, totalling 433 new or expanded programmes, through programmes including the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI).

The paper also emphasises the need of sustainability and climate action. Ripple has demonstrated its dedication to this cause by investing $100 million to the modernization and expansion of international carbon markets and projects. Further demonstrating its commitment to combating climate change, the corporation has invested $15 million in advanced market commitments for carbon removal.

The study also spotlights Ripple’s corporate programme, including instances in which Ripple staff members helped 344 NGOs by making personal donations totaling over $1 million that were matched by the firm.

The study also highlights Ripple’s efforts to support charitable causes throughout the world, with the firm planning to donate $26 million in 2022 via its network of NGO partners.
