Billions of Shiba Inu Burned in June as Shytoshi Kusama Hints at Shibarium Launch Location

Shibburn Explorer recently tweeted that the Shiba Inu community moved 1,653,845,435 SHIB meme money to dead-end wallets last month.

Even while the quantity of SHIB burnt over the last month appears to have been sizable, daily burns are still fluctuating, sometimes falling well below zero and entering the negative territory.

Shiba Inu’s burn rate increased 1,800% on June 30 as a result of 50,258,924 SHIB being locked in non-spendable wallet addresses. However, just a few occasions this week have the daily increases in SHIB burns been noted.

Leading developer Shytoshi Kusama tweeted a few mysterious messages in June, which may have given the SHIB community the idea to start smelting more of those meme coins. They mentioned “Something physical coming” and “SHIB going somewhere.”

The first has to do with SHIB’s recent collaboration with Shibcals, a group that brings SHIB “into the physical world” and creates merchandise that can be handled rather than merely seen on a computer or smartphone screen.

According to Kusama’s second tweet and a Telegram message sent in the “Shibarium Tech” channel, SHIB was “going somewhere.” The next thing Kusama said was that this “somewhere” was “outside the USA.”

According to some, the SHIB team will shortly go to Canada to take part in the ETHToronto conference. Shiba Inu was first released on the Ethereum blockchain, therefore this would be a tribute to Vitalik Buterin. Additionally, it’s possible that the Layer-2 solution Shibarium will also be offered in Canada.

Kusama said in a Telegram thread, as reported by U.Today yesterday, that he “can’t change the date or plan,” adding that “everything is already set” and “it’s called a launch strategy.”

Shibarium’s testnet was released on March 11 and has subsequently accomplished a number of important utility benchmarks. According to Puppyscan, there are now 25,955,919 total transactions being made over 17,019,690 connected wallets.
