Shiba Inu’s official content marketing expert, @LucieSHIB, has alerted Twitter users to a new SHIB scam account after the “Shibarmy Scam Alerts” profile (@susbarium) posted about it on its page.
The fraud team is using the handle @ShibaInuHQ, and it advertises a “giveaway” of SHIB while directing viewers to their website. The account intentionally misleads SHIB followers by identifying itself as the “Official Twitter Account for the Shiba Inu Ecosystem” and using a photo from the SHIB Metaverse as its profile picture.
A “SHIB/BONE/LEASH” offer worth $30,000,000 to active Ethereum wallets is now being used to entice SHIB followers. The fiat value appears to be too high for giveaways, which are typically held by legitimate cryptocurrency exchanges and platforms.
The SHIB army is urged by the “Shibarmy Scam Alerts” Twitter account to report the aforementioned SHIB scam account; Lucie tweeted that she had already done so.
The hoax account tweets updates from the Shiba Inu token’s and the SHIB Metaverse’s official accounts to give the impression that it is a trustworthy source. They specifically retweeted a message regarding a giveaway of 10 pieces of virtual land in the Metaverse from the Metaverse.
A few days ago, @susbarium warned people about a fraudster who was claiming to have won a Shibarium testnet award on Twitter. The Shiba Inu community was alerted by the SHIB anti-scam account that the SHIB staff had not lately offered any such awards.
