Shibarium’s principal developer Shytoshi Kusama has revealed the most recent information on the protocol’s attempt to relaunch following extensive technical work. Shibarium is Shiba Inu’s Ethereum-based Layer 2 scaling solution.
Latest on Shibarium
The L2’s specifications were adjusted to get it into a “ready” stage, where it is now improved and optimised, according to Kusama, who claims that the core team has been testing Shibarium for the last two days.
Shibarium ran into trouble on the first day of its introduction last week when the chain stopped manufacturing blocks, which the developers blamed on unexpectedly high traffic. Shibarium’s debut was met with dissatisfaction, so the team resolved to improve, even inviting more project engineers to assist with scaling.
The protocol is still being tested, according to the most recent report from Kusama, but it is still generating blocks. He mentioned the activation of a new monitoring system as well as “additional fail safes including rate limiting at the RPC level and auto server reset in case we get a huge level of traffic again.”
Kusama concluded by stating that Shibarium is almost ready to reopen to the general public and that there are plans for more validators to go online, giving BONE holders more space to stake their tokens.
Better second chance
Shibarium’s dramatic debut and stop are unusual events in the Web3.0 environment because most projects, especially Layer 2 networks on Ethereum, often give it their all to surpass community emotion and expectations.
Shibarium is receiving a second chance, and the SHIB army is waiting to see if the protocol can actually live up to its promise as it has been demonstrated over the last few months.
