Cardano (ADA) Exploring ZK Proofs, Is This Plan to Relegate Hydra?

Cardano

The zero-knowledge (ZK) proof solution, a scaling mechanism that is unique to the Ethereum blockchain environment, is being developed by the Cardano (ADA) protocol. The blockchain startup Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), which created the Cardno protocol, has revealed continued work on the new technology by one of its offshoots called ZK-Labs.

The ZK-Labs team, the second such collaboration between the two organisations, is advertised as a body at the junction of key developers from IOHK and the University of Edinburgh. Industry watchers are already speculating about how much the ZK protocol will be integrated into the Cardano blockchain because it is widely recognised as the future of blockchain secrecy and usefulness.

As was previously noted, ZK is at the core of the features of the most well-known Ethereum protocols, such Polygon zkEVM, among others. Vitalik Buterin, a co-founder of Ethereum, has also praised the technology’s widespread success in promoting privacy and decentralisation across protocols.

Work for IOHK is already in full swing, demonstrating how open the Cardano protocol is to new trends in the ever changing digital currency industry.

Is Cardano shifting away from Hydra?

IOHK, under the direction of Charles Hoskinson, is devoted to important facets of the fundamental breakthroughs that blockchain development is ushering in. However, ZK technology is not native to Cardano, and the ZK-Labs team’s research efforts may supplant those of Hydra and other blockchain-related technologies.

Cardano is engaged in a maddening race to become the next Ethereum, and it has announced a series of tactical advancements to do battle with the blockchain system. Even if the majority of its inventions, like as Mithril, Project Catalyst, and others, are still in their infancy, it is still possible for it to fulfil its promise to become a well-known smart contract centre in the near future.
