Bitcoin.com News visited the AMC Theaters website and found that Bitpay is now a payment option. With the integration of Bitpay, AMC Theaters now accepts several other cryptocurrencies in addition to dogecoin and shiba inu, including bitcoin (BTC), bitcoin cash (BCH), litecoin (LTC), XRP, and Bitcoin. ether (ETH).
Aron previously announced that AMC Theatres accepted four cryptocurrencies: bitcoin, bitcoin cash, litecoin, and ether. However, customers could only pay with those cryptocurrencies through their Paypal accounts.
The CEO has been promising the crypto community that AMC Theaters will accept DOGE and SHIB payments since posting a Twitter poll on dogecoin in September last year and a poll on shiba inu the following month. Aron then claimed in November last year that he convinced Bitpay to back SHIB. The crypto payment service provider began supporting the shiba inu in November.
Aron also said in February that the crypto payment option will be live on the company’s mobile apps by April 16 or a few days earlier.
