Yuga Labs CEO Says The Movie Trilogy Is A ‘Breakthrough Project’ For NFTs

On Twitter, Coinbase said people can help make the movie by connecting their wallets, submitting a Bored Ape, and “hiding an Easter egg.” The move with BAYC comes before the company prepares to launch the upcoming Coinbase NFT marketplace. In mid-January, the exchange partnered with Mastercard to bolster the NFT market. Through this agreement, Mastercard credit and debit card users will be able to pay for non-fungible token assets through the Coinbase NFT marketplace.

Nicole Muniz, the CEO of Yuga Labs, the company that created the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT project, said the film trilogy with Coinbase is a pioneering step for NFTs and entertainment.

“We see how NFTs are evolving into vehicles for accessing and participating in networks, games, merchandise and now interactive entertainment,” Muniz explained during Monday’s announcement. This is a groundbreaking project and we are excited to see how it shapes the future of Web3 for all communities,” added the CEO of Yuga Labs.
