Soccer Legends Ronaldinho and David Beckham Dive Deeper in the Crypto World

NFT

The iconic Brazilian soccer player – Ronaldinho – partnered with the decentralized exchange P00LS to launch his own token, called RON.

David Beckham has also interacted with the cryptocurrency universe by requesting several trademarks related to the metaverse and non-fungible tokens.

Ronaldinho’s Token

One of the greatest soccer players of all time – Ronaldinho de Assis Moreira (known as Ronaldinho) – said his token’s primary goal will be to establish a better connection between himself and his numerous fans. “More than just fans, they are my community,” he emphasized.

Specifically, the RON token will allow holders to join Ronaldinho’s universe. They will be able to attend events, trade NFTs and create exclusive content.

Hugo Renaudin – Founder and Chief Executive of P00LS – said his firm empowers creators and their communities “with a new model for ownership and value.”

“As one of the most beloved and recognized sports stars in the world, the launch of Ronaldinho’s token marks an important milestone for his community, for P00LS and for the creator economy as a whole. We do not couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome him to the platform and the P00LS community,” the executive added.

RON is an ERC-20 token and will see the light of day on April 28. Keen supporters of Ronaldinho will get the chance to earn the asset for free on the P00LS launchpad prior to the official launch. By answering questions regarding the soccer player’s career and personal life correctly, they could earn more tokens at no cost.

This isn’t Ronaldinho’s first engagement with the digital asset sector. Earlier this year, the 2005 Ballon d’Or winner shook hands with Graph Blockchain to host NFT events and experiences for his fans. Additionally, he has become an official global ambassador for the blockchain protocol.

Beckham’s Efforts

Another soccer star from the recent past who hopped on the bandwagon is David Beckham. The American lawyer – Mike Kondoudis – revealed that the British had filed three trademark applications for NFTs, virtual clothing, and entertainment events in the Metaverse.

Almost a month ago, Beckham became the global brand ambassador for the cryptocurrency company – DigitalBits. Commenting on the collaboration, the athlete said:

“I am always keen to find new ways to connect with my fans across the world. The moment I spoke with AI and the DigitalBits team, I knew that this was a major opportunity to create new experiences for my fans online. I have always taken pride in working with the best teams and I am so excited to work on my NFT collections and more innovations in the future.”
