Top ETH Whales Accumulating SHIB, APE, MANA, Amidst Crypto BloodBath Says On-Chain Data

Since the start of April, the cryptocurrency market has been punched by a bearish trend as over the last 30 days the market has not seen any stability. Even today the crypto market is trading red as the flagship currency Bitcoin is trading below $40,000 positioned at $38,978 at the time of writing.

Ethereum whales gear up

According to recent data, the largest Ethereum (ETH) has accumulated meme coin Shiba Inu (SHIB), fledgling currency ApeCoin (APE) and two other metaverse tokens.

The WhaleStats data shows the investment approach of the 100 wealthiest non-exchange Ethereum addresses.

WhaleStats, the whale digital asset tracking website, reveals that in the past 24 hours, trading volume between crypto investors has positioned The Sandbox (SAND) in fifth place with 115,191 traded for a total of $295,211.

Talking about ApeCoin (APE), several dollar-pegged stablecoins and mega-whales have also taken an interest. APE, which is the social cryptocurrency for the well-known Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), has witnessed the purchase of 5,028 tokens and sold for a total of $90,167 over the last 24hrs which was the result of an announcement of its new metaverse creation.

Interestingly, whale wallets also enter 3D virtual reality, the world of Decentraland (MANA). This virtual destination for digital assets, Decentraland is only one place ahead of APE as it ranks eighth with a daily activity volume of $81,422 for 44,219 tokens.

On the other hand, Dogecoin killer, Shiba Inu (SHIB) is hovering around the top 10 with nearly 2.4 billion tokens that are being exchanged for $56,218.

Meanwhile, WhaleStats released a report on Twitter about the various noteworthy crypto-whale transactions.

The report said that the fifth largest ETH whale with the name BlueWhale0073 has purchased 219,332,229,787 SHIB tokens for $5,454,792. Whereas the sixth ETH whale, BlueWhale0097 bought 250,000 APE for $4,410,000 and the 15th whale, whale wallet Bombur has grabbed 51,799,991,288 SHIB for $1,178,967.
