This graphic designer of Dogecoin drops hint to businesses as to how to make goods sell out pretty fast
The pseudonymous Twitter user “Dogecoin Designer”, whose bio section claims he is actually a graphic designer for the Dogecoin Foundation, has decided to send a “message to all brands”. And this message is about DOGE.
“Out of stock in a matter of a few hours”
The Twitter user referred to a recent tweet by Elon Musk, in which the Tesla boss and biggest Dogecoin supporter shared a link to a “Cybertruck whistle” from the range of Tesla merchandise that can be bought only for Dogecoin.
The “Dogecoin Designer” emphasized in his tweet that this whistle sold out in a matter of hours. He then added that “this is a message to all the brands out there,” apparently calling on businesses to start accepting the native Meme cryptocurrency.
Dogecoin adoption expands fast
This year, crypto adoption has been spreading actively across SMEs as more and more companies began accepting digital currencies, including meme coins, such as Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.
Companies mostly accept crypto through a payment processor, such as Bitpay, which converts crypto to fiat. Therefore, buyers pay in crypto and sellers receive fiat, unless they want to take crypto directly.
Among vendors who started accepting DOGE this year are retailer Best Buy, global payment network Mercuryo and food delivery firm Uber Eats.
Tesla began accepting Dogecoin for its goods in December 2021 as an experiment. In May of this year, the experiment was deemed a success, and the company began taking meme coins regularly.
Billionaire investor and Shark Tank co-host Mark Cuban, who owns the Mavericks basketball team, also made the team’s online store accept DOGE for tickets and Mavericks merch a few years ago.
