Shibburn Radio has been connected to devices working with popular Amazon app
The Shibburn Radio Twitter account has spread the word that there’s now a way to burn SHIB through Amazon’s Alexa app—by listening to Shibburn Radio on devices connected to it.
Shibburn Radio now available via Alexa app
In a series of tweets, Shibburn Radio explained how the app is going to operate on Alexa-connected devices. Amazon has confirmed that station ingestion has been completed, and the radio that helps burn Shiba Inu tokens is now live.
At the moment, additional work is being done to achieve complete search indexing. Soon, a device connected to the Amazon app should respond, “Playing Shibburn Radio,” in response to the phrase “Alexa, play Shibburn Radio,” according to a tweet.
Besides, the app for the radio that will run on iOS devices is expected to go live within the next two days. Later on, Shibburn Radio will be included for CarPlay and Android Radio.
How Shibburn Radio Works
The above radio station is a project of the Shibburn platform that tracks SHIB Bern transactions and is also involved in the removal of Shiba Inu tokens from the circulating supply.
In a tweet on Sept. 2, Shibburn Twitter account shared that the Radio project would give users a new way to burn SHIB. It will have its own website and app. Work on that project had been going for several months by Sept. 2.
According to one tweet, the point is to “get sponsors to burn more SHIB and get SHIB to more people.” The ads will be combined into a music stream, the tweet said, so apparently SHIB will be burned after making a purchase with the profits from the ad, as other projects are doing at the moment.
Also, the fact that more and more people would listen to Shibburn Radio would help the project at no expense.
This project also burns with Amazon
Another project is also burning SHIB indirectly through Amazon, using the Amazon Affiliate Program – Shib Super Store. It is spending commissions from sales on Amazon to buy Shiba Inu tokens and then remove them from circulation.
Also, the fact that more and more people would listen to Shibburn Radio would help the project at no expense.
SHIB burn rate down 88%
According to a report by Shibburn, the SHIB meme token burn rate has dropped by over 88% in the past 24 hours.
The fact is that only as few as 7,050,559 Shiba Inu coins have been sent to unspendable wallets. This is nearly 9x less than the amount burned during the previous 24 hours, which was 59,638,305 SHIB. On that day, the burn rate was up 103%.
