Mindfolk: A ‘Cabin and Carpenter’ Inspired NFT Collection Comprised of 777 Unique Characters

Mindfolk is a ‘hut and carpenter’ inspired NFT collection comprised of 777 unique characters who have left their previous overpopulated lands to look for a new area to live.

What is Mindfolk?

Mindfolk is a ‘cabin and carpenter’ inspired NFT collection comprised of 777 unique characters that are now available on the Magic Eden marketplace. The Mindfolk characters are the people who left their previous overpopulated lands to look for a new area to live, which they luckily found. The trees abundant in this area (plus) their building knowledge was a heaven sent combination that allowed them to establish a new and more sustainable society called the ‘Kingdom of Coppice’.

But their skills can increase even further, at the level of ‘Lumberjacks’ and ‘Carpenters’, which will help them build more sophisticated and robust projects. With the help of their holders, Mindfolks can reach these levels and increase their status and assets in the Mindfolk universe. Of the 777 Mindfolks, 70 characters will be allocated to the team, while another 7 1:1 premium characters will be put up for auction.

Mindfolk: Skills

To get higher rankings and earn more Tokens within the ecosystem, Mindfolks need to learn specific skills to achieve these things. It will take 7 days for each character to learn a new skill, and the entire process costs the holders nothing.

Let’s take a look at the skills that Mindfolks need to learn:

Wood workers

Carpenters’ main asset is their brilliant minds, which allow them to think, conceptualize and craft amazing projects that can improve life in their community. They are responsible for sawing, cutting, sanding, assembling and polishing woods that lead to incredible architecture.

lumberjacks

The main task of woodcutters is to provide wood for carpenters and, through their ancestors, they developed a great skill in selecting the strongest trees in the forest. They also have great respect for nature, as they never forget to rejuvenate the areas where they cut down trees. They do this by putting soil and planting seeds again, which would ensure that new life would continually grow in those places.

MindFolk Ecosystem

Building

The basic architectures that Mindfolks can build are ‘cabins’ and ‘boats’, and they are prohibited from building and renting these two things at the same time. Mindfolks progress and WOOD tokens would be wiped out if they were listed while working on a specific project.

Cabins

Only 333 cabins can be built within Coppice Kingdom, but each wallet can be used for an unrestricted amount of cabin builds. Most interestingly, the cabins will be considered a separate collection, and owners can immediately exchange them on the market once they are built. 1 Lumberjack will take 6 weeks to finish a cabin and 3 weeks for 1 Carpenter, which is plenty of time for progress-hungry Mindfolk keepers.

The good news is that the process can be shortened by using 2 Carpenters or 1 Elder, which will reduce the build time to just 1,5 weeks. A maximum of 2 Carpenters can be used to build each cabin, and holders cannot try to use 3 or more builders just to finish a cabin faster. Holders who have already committed to building a booth but suddenly backed out will lose their WOOD tokens as punishment. A limited number of 4 Mindfolks can occupy and live inside a cabin and once inside they will yield 2x more WOOD tokens compared to their normal yield. Hut owners can rent their huts for 4-6 WOOD tokens to any interested Mindfolk keepers, giving them decent passive income while inside Coppice Kingdom.

Boats

Only 222 boats are available at Coppice Kingdom, and just like the cabins, each wallet can be used to build an unlimited number of boats. Keepers can also trade boats on the market once the Mindfolks have finished creating them. 1 Lumberjack will take 12 weeks to finish a single boat, 6 weeks for 1 Carpenter and just 3 weeks for 2 Carpenters.

Similar to the cabin building, holders will lose their WOOD tokens once they leave the boat unfinished. Boats will be an essential part of Mindfolks’ lives as they will allow them to travel to distant lands in search of Spore that they can evolve into something that can be of benefit to them.

There will be 10 islands that Mindfolks can explore to look for pores, and once an island has been visited, other keepers can take a ‘raft trip’ to collect the remaining Spore there. Each boat must have 3 Mindfolk sailors, and each voyage has a high chance of being successful if the sailors have their own surfboards. Like any journey, the Mindfolks’ journey will not always be smooth, as they will face challenges that could reduce their chances of bringing Spore home.

Spore Evolution

Once a Spore is obtained, it will take 45 days to evolve, but the evolution process will reset automatically when owners list their Spore. The growth process can be shortened to 10 days when a spore is placed inside a cabin, and owners need to pay cabin owners 100 WOOD tokens for each spore they place inside.

elders

Elderfolks are the highest beings in the Mindfolk universe and serve as the divine guide of the Coppice Realm. Each of the 7 Legendary Elders has the ability to build 2x faster than a single carpenter and, recap, yields 26 WOOD tokens per day.

WOOD token

WOOD Token is the utility token that powers the entire Mindfolk ecosystem, and both Carpenters and Lumberjacks must accumulate them to create various wooden architectures. Ownership structures would also provide holders with passive income as these architectures generate WOOD tokens. To passively earn WOOD tokens, holders must remove their Mindfolk NFTs, but holders must train these characters before deleting them.

To actively earn WOOD tokens, holders must wager a Mindfolk NFT for a specific period of time, which would allow the character to build and finish a construction project. The team also plans to add new offerings, including an art e-commerce store and an art-centric marketplace, which will further enhance the WOOD token’s utilities.

Bottom Line

The theme, concept and mechanics of Mindfolks are highly interesting and creative, which can appeal to even NFT collectors with little interest in a wood-themed universe and characters. It is also one of the most sought after projects in the whole Solana, which is evident in how quickly its floor price has flown. All things considered, it seems to have the makings of a blue-chip NFT project.
