William Volk, a Shiba Inu lead games consultant, posted a picture of Shiba Inu dogs wearing leashes on Twitter. He tagged SHIB and Shiba Eternity in the tweet and commented, “It must be a sign.”
Although unconnected to the Shiba Inu project, PlayStation garnered notice in February when it published a teaser for an upcoming puzzle game and encouraged players to “play as a Shiba Inu.”
Volk posted a picture of a Shiba Inu that appeared to be having some fun. The tweet’s comments section may offer some insight on what Volk implied. “Fantastic stuff going,” a Twitter user wrote along with the lookout emoji.
The Shiba Inu community continues to keep its fingers crossed for prospective developments in the gaming industry, despite the fact that more information on what Volk meant was still pending at the time of publication.
Shiba Eternity, a free-to-play collectible card game created by PlaySide Studios under the artistic direction of Shiba Inu lead Shytoshi Kusama, was released globally for iOS and Android users in October 2022.
Shiboshis, a distinct breed of Shiba Inu dogs who have created their own technology, art, and warfare, are the inspiration for Shiba Eternity. Shiboshi heroes come in 10,000 various varieties, and there are over 500 unique cards to collect.
In a blog post on the Shibarium website this year, Shytoshi Kusama stated that the objective for Shiba Eternity was to create a high-quality game that could be used, licenced to the larger Shiboshi community, and turned into a Shibarium version that rewards players. While hinting at a blockchain release, he said that this objective was still on track.
Following the November 2017 release of Shiba Eternity Lore, Kusama declared that the blockchain version was now his main priority.
