Terra (LUNA) Sees Major Upgrade, Here’s What’s New

LUNA

A new update has been made to Terra, the blockchain that powers the LUNA coin. Blocks are now being manufactured following an official upgrade to version 2.3.1. Alliance is one of the brand-new features in the current update.

Interchain staking is used by the open-source Cosmos SDK module Alliance to allow blockchains to form business partnerships. Chains like Terra’s may improve their decentralised economy through integration by attracting users, liquidity, and developers, boosting staking return, and directing monetary policy (L1 token inflation and fees) towards promoting desirable user behaviours.

Moreover, vote 4717 to update Terra Core to version 2.3.0 was successful. The Alliance module would be supported in its integration into the Terra mainnet by this chain-breaking update.

On March 21, 2023, Terra updated Pisco (their testnet chain), incorporating the new Alliance module as well as other changes.

Terra has developed after the UST depeg that led to the demise of its ecosystem in May 2022. The ecology may, however, take some time to regain its former glory due to challenges including legal stumbling blocks and other issues.

According to South Korean police, Do Kwon, a co-founder of Terra, was held in Montenegro late last month while attempting to board a private jet at an airport in Podgorica, the nation’s capital.

Upon his detention, Montenegrin prosecutors apparently handed the Terra co-founder charges.

The price of LUNA was $1.41 at the time of writing, hardly increased over the previous day.
