Cardano’s Hoskinson Built “Nothing” for Ethereum, Vogelsteller Claims

Cardano

Recently, Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson was criticised on Twitter by Ethereum co-founder Fabian Vogelsteller for his contributions to the project.

Hoskinson, according to a tweet from Vogelsteller, “was never really a founder of Ethereum” and “built literally nothing for Ethereum that I am aware of.”

The seasoned crypto pro continued by arguing that, in addition to Vitalik Buterin, only he and Gavin Wood, the man behind Polkadot, should be acknowledged as Ethereum’s genuine inventors.

In a tweet, Cardano, Polkadot, and Lukso, among other blockchain projects developed by initial Ethereum Foundation members, were mentioned together with their market capitalizations. Vogelsteller’s comments were in reaction to that tweet.

Vogelsteller explained in a subsequent tweet that his remarks were not intended to upset anyone, but rather to highlight the details of the early development of Ethereum.

Hoskinson fires back at Vogelsteller

Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of IOHK and the designer of Cardano, responded to Vogelsteller’s assertions on Twitter.

He sarcastically complimented Vogelsteller for his assessment of his value and Ethereum-related efforts. Hoskinson also questioned how the development of Cardano, a hugely successful blockchain project, could have been the product of his claimed ineptitude.

The contributions of different people to the creation of Ethereum have been the subject of discussion in the cryptocurrency world as a result of this interaction between Vogelsteller and Hoskinson.
