XRP Becomes Currency of This Metaverse, Here’s Its Utility

XRP

By market capitalization, XRP is the sixth-largest cryptocurrency. It now has a new feature: the ability to purchase land in the Xspectar metaverse.

A Web3 business with NFT collections and a metaverse, xSPECTAR is built on XRPL. The XRP Ledger Foundation introduced xSPECTAR as a validator to the UNL in October of last year.

The Xspectar team just revealed the specifics of their presale land event for its metaverse in a tweet. It reveals that XRP may be used to purchase land in Xspectar’s virtual reality in order to interact with others, have fun, and conduct commerce.

Credit cards and XSPECTAR, the native coin of the xSPECTAR blockchain, are other methods for buying land.

New ways to exchange it for money are constantly being added to XRP. Binance Card announced in August of last year that XRP has been added to its list of supported cryptocurrencies.

The supported cryptocurrencies may be used everywhere Visa’s logo is visible with the Binance Card, not just in Europe. A debit card called the Binance Card enables the use of approved cryptocurrencies at more than 90 million shops globally.

XRPL to sunset Hooks testnet V2

Given that Hooks testnet v3 is still operational and that Evernode has switched over to it, XRPL Labs has made known its intentions to retire Hooks testnet V2.

According to the creator of the XRP Ledger software, the Hooks testnet v2 will be shut down on May 14 in two weeks.

Hooks v3, the most recent version of the beta-tested XRPL smart contracts, was activated in April of last year.

Basic smart contracts for the XRP Ledger are hooks, which are compact, effective bits of code that are defined in an XRPL account and allow logic to be run prior to and/or following XRPL transactions.
