Ledger, a supplier of cryptocurrency wallets, has updated the XRP community with significant new notifications during the past 24 hours.
Ledger most recently issued a warning on fraudulent token allocation programme frauds that specifically target the XRP community. It cautions XRP owners to stay away from token allocation claims since they seek to syphon off their XRP funds. This is due to the possibility that these schemes might grant unauthorised users access to XRP accounts.
It advises XRP users to take preventative action by not disclosing their 24-word recovery phrase to anybody, not even Ledger staff, and by not inputting this phase into any apps or websites, while admonishing them that anyone requesting the recovery phrase may be a fraudster.
Ledger also addressed worries about certain clients getting problems when attempting to open an XRP account or transmit XRP using Ledger Live Mobile in a different tweet.
It guarantees that this won’t compromise the SAFU funds’ security. As it works to reestablish Ledger Live Mobile’s compatibility with XRP, Ledger encourages users to upgrade to the most recent version of the mobile app if necessary.
In the interim, it cautions owners of XRP not to send private messages to anybody posing as a representative of Ledger or type their words into any websites as malicious actors may try to take advantage of the circumstance.
