Is Elon Musk Shutting Down PEPE Memes on Twitter? David Gokhshtein Ponders

PEPE

David Gokhshtein, a well-known cryptocurrency influencer and the head of Gokhshtein Media, has written to Twitter CEO Elon Musk to ask if he has been stifling tweets and memes about the Pepe (PEPE) meme cryptocurrency.

In the comment thread, a few Twitter users mentioned that they had experienced the same problem with PEPE tweets.

Is Elon Musk quieting PEPE tweets?

In a tweet, Gokhshtein expressed his suspicion that the platform has been deleting PEPE-related tweets since he has been receiving several alerts that read “tweet unavailable.”

A Twitter user said that he had been receiving the same information. Other commenters in the discussion recommended that FLOKI and other meme currencies should be given attention by Crypto Twitter. Some think that because so many individuals gained a lot of money off of PEPE, they have moved on to other “degen projects” and are talking about PEPE much less presently.

Elon Musk does not want PEPE to become as well-known as to flip his preferred meme coin, DOGE, a user humorously said.

PEPE 56% down from historic peak

According to information from CoinMarketCap, the meme currency PEPE is now trading slightly more than 56% lower than its May 5 all-time high of $0.000004354.

Currently, the market capitalization of the coin is $738.74 million. Crypto expert LilMoonLambo predicted earlier today that PEPE will take the role of Dogecoin as a gauge of market mood.
