The Cardano Foundation, EMURGO, and Input Output Global (IOG) have made public the list of candidates who have been chosen to give workshops on CIP-1694. The goal of this proposal is to create a decentralised on-chain governance system for Cardano’s Voltaire Era. Over 75 applications were submitted for the very competitive selection process, coming from a variety of countries throughout the world, including North America, LATAM, and Africa.
The Voltaire Era uses a voting process and a treasury to establish a decentralised and democratic network. Participants may influence the network’s growth by using their stakes and voting rights, encouraging openness and inclusion for long-term success. The workshops will take place between May and July, with their main goal being to examine the most recent advancements in on-chain governance that are suggested in CIP-1694.
More than 20 places across the world will host the in-person seminars, giving participants a rare chance to network, share ideas, and connect with their local Cardano communities. Additionally, there will be more than 25 online seminars, allowing those who cannot come in person to participate.
Cardano’s founder Charles Hoskinson said that the Voltaire Era will show the rest of the cryptocurrency industry how to implement decentralised administration, much like Cardano did with staking. The Cardano community has moved one step closer to attaining this objective by choosing workshop candidates.
