XRP Accounts Hit Big Milestone as Optimism Increases

The XRP Ledger Foundation’s (XRPLF) Thomas Silkjaer, head of analytics and compliance, announced on Twitter that the XRPL has now achieved a new milestone. On XRP Ledger, five million accounts have been activated as of this writing.

The five million account milestone has reportedly been attained, according to Silkjaer, who claims to have run some updated statistics on XRPL.

Although there are presently 4.7 million accounts, according to him, 5,002,458 of them were active when the statistics were last reported a few days ago.

XRP Ledger Services, which monitors XRPL’s development, reports that there are presently 4,705,871 XRP accounts. These accounts contain 57,783,679,838 (57.7) billion XRP in total. Only 1,035 accounts have no XRP in them at the moment.

Although the ledger indicates that there are 4.7 million accounts, according to Silkjaer, there are really five million accounts that have been activated.

As previously said, the XRP Ledger has successfully closed 80 million ledgers in more than ten years, which is a tremendous accomplishment for the XRP ecosystem. The number of ledgers is currently 80,037,448.

Since Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse boldly predicted that the lawsuit will be concluded in “weeks” rather than “months,” there is growing optimism for XRP. This may be a sign that the highly-publicized legal dispute is about to come to a close.
