CoinShares notes that an important milestone has been reached in the capital flows into XRP-focused investment products. A staggering half a million dollars have been invested during the past week, maintaining the pattern seen the week before. The total influx since the start of 2023 is already an amazing $4 million.
Notably, XRP’s superior performance was not restricted to just investor money. The token was able to end the week with increases of 4.8% and 1.62%, respectively, when compared to prominent cryptocurrencies like Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC). In fact, there have been consistent withdrawals over the previous eight weeks totalling a substantial $417 million, with outflows of $88 million this week alone. An analyst from CoinShares named James Butterfill argues that these withdrawals might be ascribed to investor caution due to the unpredictability of monetary policy and the potential for interest rate increases.
