The Shiba Inu (SHIB) community is in the midst of a rumour storm as a result of a number of fascinating tweets from significant project participants. Recently, an NFA Labs employee posted a tantalising look into the future on social media. They tweeted that they were inspired and encouraged after speaking with Shytoshi Kusama, a well-known SHIB advocate.
Kusama personally replied to this tweet by acknowledging the sentiment and issuing a mysterious caution. He implied that the community will soon learn the truth while conveying the gravity of their goals without giving any specifics. When Ringoshi Toitsu, another powerful person in the Shiba Inu community, started a Twitter conversation, the mood darkened even worse.
The next day, Kusama—who is reputed to be less active on social media—had already given some information on potential changes to the Shiba Inu ecology. He also said that in the future, his function could be less important because it would no longer be required.
Is Shibarium on the way?
Community rumours have been stoked by Kusama’s latest message tone, which implies that there could be more to the next changes than first thought.
Could the cryptic comments be a reference to Shibarium, the much awaited Layer 2 product that will serve as the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s cornerstone? The rumours have only grown after Puppynet Explorer, a test version of Shibarium, was relaunched.
However, as the countdown to July begins, the answers will become clearer in the upcoming weeks.
