Ripple Giant Shovels 75 Million XRP, Here’s Destination

XRP

Recent information from the well-known blockchain tracker Whale Alert indicates that renowned fintech Ripple Labs moved a significant amount of XRP coins to an anonymous digital wallet.

The amount in question, 75,000,000 XRP, is equivalent to $35,400,652 USD. The information was posted via Whale Alert’s Telegram channel. Information from the XRP-focused Bithomp platform reveals that the money was transferred from a Ripple Labs-owned RL92-MN wallet.

The same website claims that the destination wallet is connected to Ripple as well. The same tracker reveals that Ripple sent this wallet 200,000,000 XRP on July 1.

The same person sent 100,000,000 XRP on June 29 as well.

The SEC’s December 2020 legal action against Ripple has not yet been resolved. As a result, many exchanges, including Coinbase and Binance US, opted to halt XRP trade, which precipitated a dramatic decline in the value of the Ripple-affiliated coin relative to the USD.

However, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated in an interview at the beginning of the year that he anticipates the lawsuit will be concluded this year, maybe even in the first half.
