Ripple and XRP Scam Bots Flood Twitter: Elon Musk Called to Intervene

XRP

Twitter users are once again subjected to a deluge of bogus accounts connected to Ripple and XRP, in a never-ending struggle. Elon Musk himself has been enlisted by legal expert John Deaton in an effort to stop the continuous assault, in the hopes that the billionaire entrepreneur can do so.

Elon Musk took to Twitter about a year ago and made a commitment to stop the proliferation of bots there. But despite his initial attempts, the infamous imposters continue, greatly frustrating consumers. Deaton, a lawyer who represents owners of XRP, recently tweeted to Musk about his frustration.

The situation has reached a breaking point, which was made worse by an important court decision made last week. After almost three years, the court ruled that XRP is not a security, shocking the media and leading to an unprecedented rise in scam bots and imposters.

When things reached their breaking point, John Deaton went to Elon Musk in the hopes that the powerful and quirky billionaire might offer his skills to stop the situation from getting worse. Will Musk heed the request from this powerful legal figure and be successful in eradicating Twitter’s bot problem?

It will be interesting to watch if Musk’s unconventional style of influence can counteract this ongoing internet danger while the public anxiously awaits his prospective involvement. Scam bots’ intrusion not only compromises the reliability of social media sites but also puts vulnerable individuals at danger of falling for phishing scams.
