Dogecoin Community Tells Elon Musk It Regrets Losing Doge as Twitter Logo to ‘X’

Elon Musk, the founder of the laconic “X”—the next “everything app”—which will replace the well-known Twitter blogging programme as its new name, has posted a video showcasing the new “X” logo of the platform.

The crypto community enthusiastically responded, offering a variety of viewpoints but primarily attempting to design logos that incorporated the former bluebird with the present letter “X.”

The “army” of Dogecoin, Elon Musk’s preferred cryptocurrency, and the XRP community were among the people who reacted to the post. Some of them lament not getting DOGE for the social media juggernaut’s emblem.

According to a U.Today story from April of this year, Twitter momentarily switched the bluebird logo for an image of DOGE. As a result, Dogecoin holders saw their price rise by 8%, giving them hope that Musk will eventually start putting the joke coin on the platform for payments.

Back then, the community’s response was varied; some people thought it was humorous and fit Musk’s sense of humour. Some people were worried about possible hacking of Twitter. Several huge whales liquidated their Dogecoin holdings within those few days, locking in substantial returns.

Raoul Pal, a well-known investor and economist, said yesterday that Elon Musk will probably start accepting cryptocurrency payments on Twitter and would adopt DOGE in particular. Additionally, Twitter Payments LLC has previously obtained licences from a number of US states to carry out and process bitcoin payments, according to a previous U.Today story.

Musk added the subscription feature to Twitter earlier this year, enabling users to pay a modest monthly fee to support their favourite content creators. This kind of monetization has already been implemented by several users on Twitter, including Musk and Billy Markus, the co-founder of Dogecoin.
