The Winklevoss brothers established Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, in 2015. Gemini appears to be hinting towards a significant XRP announcement. Gemini has sent out an intriguing tweet concerning the listing of XRP.
The cryptocurrency exchange posted the caption, “Me, the intern, patiently waiting for Gemini to list XRP,” along with a GIF of a cat perched at a desk.
Gemini said that it was considering providing XRP shortly after the significant Ripple judgement of July 13 while other exchanges hurried to relist the coin. “Gemini is exploring the listing of XRP for both spot and derivatives trading,” the exchange tweeted. “Given today’s ruling that the sale of XRP on exchanges is not a security.”
Judge Torres decided on July 13 that selling XRP through algorithms and exchanges did not constitute an investment contract. The cryptocurrency sector hailed this as a major triumph.
Bitstamp, Kraken, Crypto.com, and Binance.US relisted XRP following Coinbase’s lead. XRP was removed from these cryptocurrency exchanges’ lists, including Gemini’s, not long after the SEC complaint was submitted in late 2020.
Members of the XRP community are eagerly anticipating Gemini’s relisting of the cryptocurrency exchange now that big exchanges have reinstated XRP on their platforms.
Leading ATM operator Coinflip lists XRP
A fintech startup called CoinFlip announced the addition of XRP to its platform in late July as more listings for the cryptocurrency were being added. The exchange platform declared in a press release that its over-the-counter Order Desk service now lists and sells XRP.
With over 4,500 kiosks spread across 49 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Australia, Coinflip manages the biggest network of cryptocurrency ATMs in the world in terms of transaction volume. These ATMs enable users to buy and sell popular cryptocurrencies using fiat currency. As a result, XRP integration is still important.
