DOGE Co-Founder Slams Bitcoin Maxis as ‘Mentally Ill Group of Insecure Losers’

Billy Markus, who along with Jackson Palmer established DOGE in 2013 as a hobby and side project, has revealed his opinion on how Bitcoiners are “preaching” BTC on cryptocurrency Twitter and has dubbed them “the literally worst at marketing.”

Jason Lowery praised Bitcoin in a video interview with BTC maximalist Robert Breedlove, calling it “not a coin but the future of warfare,” “the future of security,” and “the future of people securing their data.” Markus left a comment on the video. He also sarcastically referred to Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk as the new “god kings.”

Billy Markus made fun of Bitcoin maxis’ strategies for recruiting new members, noting that their catchphrase is “Come join our clearly mentally ill group of insecure losers!”

Bitcoin maximalists are infamous for their superior attitude towards anything else in the cryptocurrency market aside from BTC, since they continuously refer to all altcoins as “s-coins.” Some of them, most notably Max Keiser, call on the SEC to deem all cryptocurrencies securities and to shut down key crypto exchanges as casinos. In essence, it is what Gary Gensler and the SEC are doing right now.

The first meme cryptocurrency, which was effectively a parody of Bitcoin and was based on the proof-of-work consensus mechanism and Bitcoin code, was developed by Markus and Palmer.

They yet insist that they only did it for amusement. Markus said that he and Palmer barely made any money on DOGE in January of last year. However, he said that fresh meme coins are being purposefully developed to gain money on them.

Markus does not, however, have any plans to create “Dogecoin 2.0″ or another new digital currency. He previously tweeted that “something wacky” would have to occur for him to return to Dogecoin and actively join its existing staff.
