Charles Hoskinson, a mathematician and multi-billionaire who helped invent Ethereum and later founded IOG, the company that built Cardano, has discredited yet another opponent of the Cardano chain in a recent X post.
Hoskinson discussed improvements for Hydra and Mithril, saying that they are functioning well and changing.
Hoskinson responds to Cardano hater
In the X app, a Cardano “prediction” was made. He asserted that Hoskinson would stop discussing Hydra within the next six months, claiming that it was not a “viable solution for everything, it’s only good for a few specific things,” and that he would place a wager on input backers.
More criticism was directed at Hoskinson and the development of Cardano, including claims that he hated Ethereum while yet planning to imitate some of its accomplishments.
In response to the critique, the inventor of Cardano summed it up by saying, “It’s getting delusion town now.” He continued, saying: “Hydra is live on mainnet and evolving quickly. Remind the Cardano hater that both Mithril and Hydra are operating and evolving well. The first step towards a rich DA and light client approach, Mithril, is also live. We’ve previously created tiered pricing and Babel fees as a substantially more efficient approach to handle transactions.
The opportunity to poke fun at Ethereum was not missed by Hoskinson, who said that the platform “meanwhile has a dumpster fire of a consensus layer, has a terrible programming model that they can’t change, and are getting eaten alive by their own layer 2 ecosystem.”
We are paying no rent in the mega brains, he concluded in answer to the anti-Cardano X user. They are pitiful.
Shiba Inu’s Shytoshi Kusama thanks Hoskinson
During the Blockchain Futurist Conference, which took place in Toronto from August 15 to 16, Hoskinson gave one of the keynote addresses. He discussed how blockchain technology would be governed in the future, including whether it will be entirely off-chain, like Bitcoin, wholly on-chain, or a combination of both.
Shytoshi Kusama, the creator of the Shiba Inu meme currency, commended Hoskinson for this statement in a recent tweet, adding, “Thanks for the introduction and confirmation @IOHK_Charles! We act on it rather than just talking about it.
At same conference, Kusama also delivered a speech, however he did so via an AI bot rather than in person. He discussed restoring decentralisation to the globe and the challenging position SHIB has taken on in it.
The long-awaited Layer 2 solution Shibarium has now been made available on the mainnet by the SHIB team. On the very first stage of the launch, it encountered some problems, though. However, the team was able to address problems right away. Kusama then wrote a blog post to allay user money being frozen on the Shibarium-Ethereum bridge and to confirm that everything is now well with Shibarium.
