Shibarium Testnet Publishes Wallet Update as Number of Transactions Surges

Shibarium

The prototype blockchain known as Puppynet continues to create new utility records and achieve new milestones while Shibarium mainnet is still being scaled and has so far been deployed in a private mode for testing purposes.

New milestone smashed by Puppynet, number of wallets updated

Puppynet has now processed 32,687,954 transactions overall, breaking its previous record. The activity on Puppynet ceased in anticipation of the mainnet deployment at the recent Blockchain Futuristic Conference in Toronto, Canada, causing a pause before the testnet was restored. The figure clearly shows that the transaction flow restarted on August 16 and reached 153,041 before growing to the 170,000 and 175,000 thresholds.

Currently, there are 2,171,387 created blocks, an increase of about 400,000 since before the Toronto meeting and the pause. The number of wallets linked to Puppynet, however, has decreased. Puppyscan currently only displays 10,430,791 wallet addresses as opposed to more than 17 million.

Shibarium tested in private mode

Lead developer Shytoshi Kusama released the third daily report on how the scaling of Shibarium was progressing on Sunday, August 20.

It was a brief report in which Shytoshi just stated that blocks were continuing to produce normally after the blockchain was successfully deployed for a new test, this time in private mode.

Prior to the public reopening of the mainnet, more testing will be carried out this week, according to Shytoshi.

Close to hundred million SHIB burned

A total of 86,613,348 SHIB had been moved to dead wallets in the previous 24 hours, according to Shibburn Explorer. However, the burn rate is negative, exhibiting minus 45.17% when compared to the Shiba Inu cache burnt on Sunday.

The two greatest transactions used 11,199,072 and 22,229,850 SHIB respectively. The 119,904 Shiba Inu that made up the tiniest ball of burning material.

Since Friday, the price of SHIB has decreased by around 7%, after a steeper decline that occurred after the rather disappointing debut of Shibarium. However, the community continues to make significant efforts to reduce the amount of SHIB tokens in circulation by burning them.
