Crucial Upgrade Teased by SHIB Team, Here’s Why It Will Be Important

SHIB

In a recent article, Shiba Inu’s marketing specialist Lucie stated that once the impending SHIB update is put into effect and the strain on Bone ShibaSwap—the gas utilised on Shibarium—is reduced, SHIB burns would be managed more effectively.

Over the weekend, Shibarium achieved a significant new utility milestone.

Here’s how upgrade will impact SHIB burns and BONE

The topic of burns by the Shiba Inu development team was brought up by Lucie. To date, the team has burnt over 33 billion SHIB meme currencies, with four transactions using dead-end wallets that each carried over eight billion coins.

The marketing specialist informed the SHIB community that all burns are now being done by hand by the crew. But Lucie stressed that once the update is put into place, everything will change. To educate the SHIB community, an announcement will be issued before the change is sent out, she said.

While discussing the relocation of the Shibarium testnet Puppynet from Ethereum’s Goerli to Sepolia in the article, Lucie was alluding to the impending upgrade that the Shiba Inu team had detailed in early December.

The creators think that switching from Puppynet to the Sepolia Network would improve transaction speed, reduce transfer costs, and allow for greater scalability of Shibarium. According to the blog post, it will be more than just a transition—a complete overhaul—with the aim of improving Shibarium’s user experience in light of the community’s expanding demands. This will benefit the DeFi and NFT domains in particular.

Regarding how the update will affect SHIB burns, starting in January, all transfers to dead wallets will be automated. Currently, this is done manually via the official deployer wallet. “Multiple upgrades” are specifically promised for this transition in the blog article. “By operating according to predetermined rules, the automated burn process will be more transparent and efficient.”
