14th anniversary of Kabosu appearing online

@MyDogeOfficial tweeted that the Dogecoin community is commemorating the fourteenth anniversary of Kabosu, the famous Shiba Inu meme dog, making her online debut. Her owner, Atsuko Sato (@kabosumama), posted pictures of the dog to Facebook with the description, “Such fun…wow.”

About Kabosu, there hasn’t been any news since December 2022. The dog’s health was in really bad shape at the time. She had also become 17 years old that year, outliving the typical Shiba Inu, who typically live between 10 and 15 years.

Regarding another popular Shiba Inu puppy who supported Internet jokes, “Cheems,” tragic news made headlines. Late in August of last year, this well-known dog passed away.

The popular cryptocurrency Dogecoin was founded in 2013 by Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus, two software developers. Since Markus was the one who wrote the DOGE code at home in a matter of hours, his contribution looks larger here. DOGE was a side project that the two developers created as a joke on Bitcoin. By choosing the Twitter handle “Shibetoshi Nakamoto,” which he continues to use on social media, Markus has expanded on this prank.

Creators not making money on Dogecoin

Billy Markus has repeatedly stated that he did not made a fortune or any money at all on Dogecoin, despite the fact that Elon Musk and the general passion for memes shared online have contributed significantly to the cryptocurrency’s rise in popularity over the past several years.

Not taking the project seriously, Markus and Palmer both left practically quickly after it started. The Dogecoin Foundation now oversees the meme currency. Unlike Markus, who occasionally monitors DOGE, Palmer does not make comments on the platform or use Twitter frequently.

He reiterated in a tweet on February 12 that while many cryptocurrency traders made money with DOGE, he did not. With a market capitalization of an astounding $11,863,455,340, Dogecoin was recently knocked out of the top ten list on CoinMarketCap.
