Bitcoin vs. AI: Crucial Warning Made by VanEck and Tether’s Top Exec

Bitcoin

Gabor Gurbacs, a digital asset strategist at VanEck and Tether, took to the X platform to express his bad prognosis for AI and how Bitcoin might combat the looming threat.

Bitcoin can stop AI’s spam attack against world

Gurbacs tweeted that AI will fuel “the greatest spam attack the world has ever seen.” However, there was one hint dropped when the Bitcoiner stated that Bitcoin and other blockchain systems based on the proof-of-work algorithm can withstand it.

Gabor Gurbacs did not explain what he meant by the “greatest spam attack” or how “Bitcoin can stop it.” It is anyone’s guess. However, one view is that AI-generated deep-fake films regarding bitcoin spam are rapidly spreading and getting increasingly sophisticated.

Many top players in the bitcoin business are aware of this and are alerting the community. However, this tweet claiming that only Bitcoin and other POW-based systems can stop this “greatest spam attack” appears to be purely a BTC maxi’s remark. Many Bitcoin maximalists have been more active on Twitter in order to promote Bitcoin, with the fourth halvening event scheduled in April.

It will cut the number of Bitcoins created daily from 900 to 450, and, inspired by the recent debut of spot Bitcoin ETFs, many Bitcoiners and financial professionals foresee a big price increase for BTC within a year after the halving. Samson Mow, CEO of Jan3, has outperformed the most of them here by consistently tweeting that following the halving, Bitcoin may print a “Omega candle” and surprise rise to $1 million.

AI scam concerns raised by Hoskinson

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of IOG, the company behind the Cardano blockchain, has recently expressed concern about the sophistication of AI scams, predicting that within the next few years, it will be difficult to distinguish between a real person on video and a deep fake.

This occurred when Hoskinson reacted on an AI-generated scam video featuring himself. Furthermore, over the weekend, the mathematician and billionaire warned that “trust issues” will become more prevalent as a result of artificial intelligence.
