The inventor of Telegram, Pavel Durov, unveiled a plan to preserve the decentralisation and stability of the Toncoin (TONNE) ecosystem, a noteworthy response to worries over the concentration of TONNE. Durov used his Telegram channel once more after the price of TONNE surged to soothe community members’ concerns about the messenger’s possible domination in TONNE ownership.
Durov gave the community reassurance in his letter that Telegram is dedicated to guaranteeing a just distribution of TONNE and acknowledges the value of a decentralised ecosystem. He declared intentions to restrict Telegram’s ownership of Toncoin to about 10% of the total supply in order to accomplish this. In light of this decision, the excess holdings will be sold to long-term investors at a reduced price, subject to a one- to four-year vesting and lockup period.

Durov also underlined how crucial it is to communicate with possible investors in an orderly and transparent way. Telegram has created a special email account for big investors—those who are prepared to pay $1 million or more—to indicate their interest in buying TONNE in order to streamline this procedure.
