Billy Markus nears first milestone on Twitter
Markus was one of the first to begin acquiring paying subscribers when Elon Musk, the new owner of the social media juggernaut, announced the launch of the new feature that allows Twitter users to support content creators financially.
Markus just tweeted a screenshot demonstrating that he had 998 subscribers, which is just shy of the 1,000 mark. He tweeted ironically, “The suspense is unbearable.”
Elon Musk supports content creators
Musk sent a reminder about the Subscription function, which supports content creators, for the community on May 9. The head of Twitter congratulated the people who are paying for subscriptions to content producers and reaffirmed that for the first year following the launch of this service, Twitter would not retain any portion of the money paid by subscribers.
Twitter will keep 10% of the money each month after the first year. Musk directly emphasised that, whether or whether they offer more content to their members, he just wants to assist people who produce high-quality content.
New features coming soon to Twitter
Elon Musk, the head of Twitter, just tweeted about recent changes. He said that the most recent version of the Twitter mobile app now allows users to reply to any post in the thread with a direct message and to do so with any emoji.
Twitter will roll out encrypted direct messages (DM V1.0) tomorrow. He declared that even with a pistol pointed at his head, he wouldn’t be able to view users’ direct messages. In addition, Musk stated that voice communications and video chat will soon be available so users could connect without having to exchange cell phone numbers.
