The Cardano Foundation just made an exciting announcement about the first group of speakers at Cardano Summit 2023, which will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 2 to 4.
Three main themes will be covered by the event’s keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive workshops: operational resilience, education, and adoption.
IOTA cofounder and chairman of the IOTA Foundation Dominik Schiener is scheduled to give a keynote address at the Cardano Summit event, which will include a wide spectrum of professionals and leaders in the blockchain industry.

Members of both communities responded to Schiener’s tweet, expressing their satisfaction that the action would better bind IOTA and Cardano.
The IOTA cofounder expressed excitement at the prospect of a partnership between Shimmer/IOTA and Cardano, as was expected by the community. “We have some exciting plans to bring Cardano and Shimmer/IOTA closer together,” Schiener said.
In order to increase the network’s overall usefulness for developers and traders, IOTA launched its incentive-based staging network, called Shimmer, in September. As a critical step before the Shimmer EVM was introduced to the mainnet, the EVM public testnet was launched on Shimmer in March.
The fact that the co-founder of IOTA has maintained good relations with the Cardano community is meaningless.
The new development should not come as a surprise because Schiener and Charles Hoskinson, the co-founder of Cardano, had previously had cordial Twitter exchanges during which Schiener inquired about the creation of a “bridge” that would link the IOTA network to Cardano.
