The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn” tour, which is supported by the cryptocurrency ecosystem, is expected to reach new areas, according to an official statement issued by Binance, the biggest cryptocurrency exchange in the world. The artist is scheduled to perform in Australia and New Zealand during Q4 of 2023.

This one-of-a-kind world tour has attracted a record three million music enthusiasts in dozens of cities throughout North America and Europe since the first performances began in Q3, 2022. Additionally, 15,000 Souvenir NFTs (SNFTs) by Binance were claimed, and 30,000 individuals attended online events hosted by Binance specifically for the trip.

A limited-edition NFT memento will also be given to concertgoers in Australia and New Zealand as a thank you. The performance will be virtually preserved thanks to these particular NFTs. Additionally, they will provide holders access to chances to join special events and win signed stuff.

Binance’s involvement in the planning of The Weeknd’s performances throughout the world excites Binance VP of Global Marketing Rachel Conlan:

The Weeknd is well known for his original and creative contributions to the music business. We are thrilled to work with the “After Hours Til Dawn” tour in order to unleash the potential of Web3 and promote unique fan experiences. We are only beginning to explore how we might use blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies to revolutionise the entertainment sector.

Following the 2023 performances, fans of Web3 will learn about a special Tour Collection NFT drop.

Synergy of crypto, art and charity

Since The Weeknd is an official ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme, the performances also have a significant charitable purpose.

To help those in need throughout the world, Binance has already donated $2 million to the XO Humanitarian Fund, which is run by the World Food Programme USA. Additionally, the XO Humanitarian Fund will get 5% of the proceeds from the sale of the NFT Tour Collection.

As previously reported by U.Today, Binance (BNB) introduced a brand-new labelling system for extremely volatile cryptocurrencies to make trading safer for beginners.

Tokens with higher volatility potential (formerly featured in the “Innovation Zone”) are now designated as “Monitoring” or “Seed” assets.
