Dogecoin Founder Reveals ‘Secret’ of Meme Coin Making

Dogecoin

Billy Markus, who co-founded the well-known meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin with Jackson Palmer, shared the “technology” utilised by people creating several small-cap meme currencies these days in a tweet. He also gave an explanation for his decision not to purchase any of these popular cryptocurrencies.

Markus joked that he would like people to send him SOL meme money in a different tweet where he revealed his wallet address.

Shibetoshi Nakamoto is Markus’s alias on the Twitter/X network.

DOGE founder not going to buy any meme coins

Billy Markus offered the cryptocurrency community to give him SOL meme coins in a satirical tweet, stating that he had “literally invented some meme coins.” Markus is likely less well-known for having co-created the well-known meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin in 2013 than for having invented Belscoin (BEL) earlier than DOGE. BEL was developed using the world of the Animal Crossing video game. Markus, however, soon became disinterested in this coin and switched to creating DOGE.

As interest in meme cryptocurrencies in general soars, this long-forgotten meme currency appears to be reviving in certain quarters of the global crypto community. Meme currencies created on the Solana blockchain have seen a significant increase recently due to speculation by several short-term traders.

The founder of DOGE gave a negative response in response to a user’s comment asking Markus whether he planned to purchase any meme coins. He revealed the general process by which these currencies are created. According to Markus, “these things take 2 seconds and a few cents to make,” and creating these coins does not require a development staff.

There are rumours circulating on the Internet that Markus worked alone for just a few hours to build DOGE, which was based on the Bitcoin code, as a fun side project at home.

Markus questions sanity of crypto holders

The developer of Dogecoin has reiterated in the last few days how he feels about focusing too much on cryptocurrency holdings. He posted a little video of a bizarre man acting like he’s leaping off a balcony, drinking toxic cleaner, etc. in a tweet last week, captioned “what it feels like to hodl crypto.”

Markus tweeted candidly earlier this week, saying, “Crypto sure is awesome if you enjoy poor mental health.”
