EOS Blockchain Introduces Transferable RAM, Announces Major Tech Upgrade

The EOS Network Foundation emphasises that now is a great time to investigate the blockchain’s enhanced potential.

EOS launches Transferable RAM to make network processes more resource efficient

Transferable RAM is a brand-new EOS feature that lets customers move RAM across accounts without paying extra. This invention satisfies the demand for RAM management that is more simplified and easy to use, allowing users to effectively distribute and reallocate their resources in accordance with their requirements.

In a technical sense, the RAM Utilities App will provide new RAM management tools. It provides all the necessary features for managing EOS RAM, such as purchasing RAM for any account, selling RAM to recover EOS, moving RAM to different accounts, and burning RAM to take it out of circulation.

In order to guarantee that payers and recipients are fully aware of the details of the RAM transaction, the new RAM Logging & Notifications functionality incorporates inline actions for verifying bytes transmitted or received in RAM transactions.

With this improvement, smart contracts may now use these alerts to ascertain the precise number of RAM bytes purchased, rather than merely the amount of EOS paid. The construction of more complex contract interactions based on real RAM consumption indicators is made possible by this capability.

The EOS Network Foundation unveiled the Savanna Consensus Algorithm in February 2024, as previously reported by U.Today.

More use cases for dApps and customers in EOS ecosystem

Newly released features give EOS developers and consumers a plethora of new opportunities. First off, the ramtransfer feature makes it possible to set up accounts quickly and efficiently, which streamlines the EOS account creation process.

Additionally, recent modifications make it easier to create RAM token wrappers, which increases the efficiency and composability of the DeFi ecosystem.

Now that these functionalities are available, the EOS community will be able to take use of improved RAM management capabilities, which will promote an environment that is more effective, adaptable, and user-friendly. These changes mark an important advancement in the blockchain’s quest to maximise resource management and utility as EOS develops further.
