Record $2.3 Billion in Bitcoin Moved Within 24 Hours, Half Bought on Coinbase

Reputable cryptocurrency watchdog Whale Alert reports that wallets marked as unknown have moved an astounding amount of Bitcoin in the last day. More BTC has exchanged hands than fiat money totaling $2.3 billion.

Five large transactions transported it, with the lowest transaction moving 4,799 BTC. Three others individually transferred more than 8,100 Bitcoin, while one person moved 7,452 BTC. The largest of them held 8,734 Bitcoin, which is equivalent to $560,821,374.

About $1 billion USD worth of Bitcoin (8,172 BTC and 8,136 BTC) were taken out of the Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange during these five massive transfers.

Prominent cryptocurrency trader and researcher Ali Martinez revealed earlier today that anonymous blockchain addresses had amassed more than 25,000 BTC, or around $1.6 billion, in the last day. This was the largest Bitcoin influx into accumulation wallets in 2024, according to the expert.

Friday saw a 5.29% decline in Bitcoin, which fell from $66,490 to $62,975. The world’s most popular cryptocurrency has managed to mount a minor comeback during the last day and is now trading around $64,560.
