A significant upgrade has been released for the recently introduced Automated Market Maker (AMM) engine on XRP Ledger (XRPL). The upgrade, known as the “fixAMMOverflowOffer,” obtained a unanimous vote during a stress test voting session and was then released on the mainnet.

The remedyWith the introduction of v2.1.1, AMMOverflowOffer aims to address the payment engine’s incorrect handling of big synthetic AMM offers. The XRP Ledger is changing quickly on its own, which has made it necessary to introduce related engines in order to keep up with rival layer-1 blockchain networks.
One of the main ways the XRP Ledger established itself in the blockchain industry was with the AMM launch. Nevertheless, a significant technical issue that occurred after the launch caused a backlash within the ecosystem. The AMM is now receiving periodic upgrades as a result of this bug.
Large swap requests on decentralised exchanges (DEXes) housed on the XRPL may now be more effectively managed by the expanding number of AMM Pools on the XRP Ledger thanks to this upgrade. Some of the most important aspects of the XRP Ledger glitch may be completely avoided with the use of this new feature.
XRP Ledger and plans for validators
The developers of Ripple are making every effort to enable validators and other important stakeholders to enjoy a positive tent-pitching experience on the platform as the XRP Ledger develops.
Updates are in the works that will directly affect validators on the XRP Ledger, as previously reported by U.Today. The XRP Ledger now has additional important features, such as the Clawback feature, which aims to shield liquidity providers and developers from documented theft on the network.
“fixDisallowIncomingV1” and “fixNFTokenReserve,” two more noteworthy changes, have not yet gone live.
