Furthermore, Lace has resolved a problem that prevented certain users from accessing the staking centre following an update to Lace v1.10.

This week saw the release of Hydra v.0.16.0, which supports the Conway block format and Cardano node v.8.9.0. This week saw updates to the Plutus Tx compiler as well; version 1.26.0.0 is scheduled for release shortly.

Chang hard fork nears

Despite recent criticism of ADA and the Cardano ecosystem, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson began the week by expressing confidence about two significant enhancements to the Cardano network, at least one of which is scheduled for this year.

Change is imminent, based on SanchoNet’s success. The largest advancement in resolving the blockchain trilemma to date is Ouroboros Leios. We are currently at 209 articles with significantly quicker research translation as our research labs scale up,” Hoskinson tweeted on April 7.

The Chang hard fork is slated for the second quarter of this year and is thought to be one of the biggest hard forks on the Cardano network since the 2022 Vasil update. By giving ADA holders the ability to vote on ideas, the update is expected to significantly quicken Cardano’s decentralisation journey.
