The well-known Solana rival Aptos (APT) has provided its community with more information about what its primary function will be in the recent collaboration it signed with Mastercard.

In order to assist the creation of apps for payments, tickets, and non-fungible Tokens (NFTs), to name a few, Aptos announced that it will be creating a Mastercard Crypto Credential, a new on-chain identification and verification platform.
According to Aptos, Aptos Labs will play a key part in the program’s launch by “building new identity, security, trust, and verification tools that enable the free flow of funds between individuals across borders.”
According to the agreement, remittances for money transmitted between the United States and nations in Latin America and the Caribbean will begin as a trial project.
